Advice on setting up TVs for the big games...

I live in Southeast AK, and my husband and I love having Seahawks parties at our place (not near as fun as going to the stadium, but we take what we can get!). I want to purchase a TV so my husband can have one outside when he's manning the barbeque, and also for the smokers. The problem I'm getting is trying to find a decent TV that can withstand the cold. Where I live, the temperatures in the winter range from teens to 30s. I figure a game is only a few hours, but I'm worried about ruining a new TV. I'm sure this is something that someone has figured out (something to do with a heater maybe? I'm trying to stay away from those big $300 ones if I can). Any suggestions?

Tiffany,

You shouldn't have a problem as long as you keep an adequate space heater in the room where you are watching the game. Plasmas typically have an operating range down to 32F, but LCD's can function normally down to about 15 degrees without affecting life. Just make sure you take the wind chill into account!
